Thanks for checking out our little project. If you're here, you're likely wondering what myPoughkeepsie actually is.
When I first moved here, I did not realize how rich this city is in arts & culture, which seems to be the case for many transplants to this city. After doing some exploring on my own, and participating in the Community Leadership Program through Middle Main, I quickly realized that this city is brimming with resources. No matter which demographic you fall into, or what your needs and interests are, the Queen City has something for you! That's when myPoughkeepsie was born.
In short, it's a way for the citizens of this beatiful city to interact with our community in a way we never have before. A blog by definition, myPoughkeepsie is a collection of events, stories, pictures, videos, and generally useful information for those that live here, and those who would like to visit:
The myPoughkeepsie site is "staffed" by volunteers, we are all just members of this community who wish to do everything we can to see it thrive. Our goal is to connect our community in a way that has never been done before, by collecting and promoting information that represents Poughkeepsie in the best ways possible. But just how do we aim to accomplish this astronomical feat?
